Grayson Cox uses a variety of media, from painting and printmaking to photography and furniture-like wood construction. Cox creates imagery and sculptures that act as contemplative spaces for the viewer to enter, informed by architecture in places he has lived such as Tokyo, Japan; Indiana; and Brooklyn. Grayson Cox studied Japanese wood-block printing in Japan and has worked as a carpenter in New York City. He has exhibited in Tokyo, Japan; Chicago, Illinois; and New York City.
